Discovering California's Gold Country

doPlaces covers three counties in California: Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne. These counties are part of California's western Sierra-Nevada Mountain Range, central part of the "Gold Country" or "Mother Lode" area. About 125 Miles East of the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area.

The movement is about letting Sacramento know that the Northern California rural counties have had enough of being taxed without receiving fair representation. The 23 involved Northern California counties only have 9 of the 120 representatives throughout California. This is unfair and it is taking its toll. The rural counties needs and issues are different that the urban counties. However, the urban counties have all the say in any new laws, taxes, or regulations.
